  •  Pierre Pienaar’s interest in packaging started in 1984 after having studied pharmacy. Soon after joining a large pharmaceutical company, Pierre became concerned about a number of packaging-related issues in the pharmaceutical world.
  •  Pierre has a Master of Science Degree (Packaging Engineering/ Technology) from Brunel University, & a Master of Manufacturing and Production Degree from University of Hertfordshire. He is a registered Certified Packaging Professional in over 60 countries.
  •  He lecturers in the technology and science of packaging at 11 universities and institutions around the world for the past 30 years.
  •  He is regularly called to be an expert witness in court cases, due to his extensive experience in packaging science, packaging engineering and the technology thereof.
 
  • Soha Atallah is an international packaging expert, with extensive experience in industrial development, packaging, marketing, branding and food safety throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia.
  • Over the past 20 years, she has provided packaging and labeling design services to more than 200 industrial companies around the w orld.
  • Ms. Atallah has partnered for more than a decade with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) as an international expert on packaging and marketing in numerous countries, including Mongolia, Morocco, Pakistan, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Tunisia. Her global expertise led to Ms. Atallah’s appointment in 2017 as Vice President of the WPO (World Packaging Organization), for which her mandate includes the group’s Exhibitions, Conferences, and WorldStar international packaging competition. 
  • Rana has worked at Coca-Cola Hellenic Egypt for 25 years, joining as External Affairs Coordinator before her appointment to Director of Public Affairs & Communications in 2015. Rana is responsible for enhancing the reputation of the business, creating, and sharing value for local communities and stakeholders in Egypt. She is well-known for her network, connections to the business industry, and contributions to social and public society in Egypt.
  • Andrew Manly is a 45 year veteran of the packaging industry. For 20 years he was the head of the UK's Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), which he helped to found, along with the PPMA Show. He established the magazine Machinery Update and was its editor in chief for many years.
  • He also helped found AIPIA in 2011 and is responsible for the AIPIA on-line newsletters and writes many articles for other journals, as well as giving lectures and presentations on Smart Packaging around the world.
  • He also works with the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA) on its communications as well as Flexible Packaging Europe (FPE) and CEFLEX on sustainability issues for the plastics industry. In addition he writes for several packaging companies on their technology developments.
 

  • He has received the title of Executive Director of the Environmental Compliance Office and Sustainable Development - Federation of Egyptian Industries since 2002. He is a recognized expert in sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, and energy management. With over 15 years in the industry, he has acquired industrial and environmental auditing and technical field experience in various industrial sectors as well as practical expertise in Cleaner Production (CP) and waste management applications. Eng. Ahmed is a certified auditor in OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 and the focal point for many international initiatives related to industrial development. He is also a member of the Carbon Foot Print Middle East and North Africa Consultant Committee and has international experience in over 15 countries.
  • He holds a diploma in diplomatic commercial representation and delegation in consular relations, a diploma in preparing advisors for diplomatic representation and delegation in consular relations, and he is an advisor to the International Justice Organization within the framework of the Geneva Convention and the Washington and New York Conference, and a Diploma of Diplomatic commercial representation and delegation in consular relations.
  • He is a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department, Helwan University and holds a Professional Environmental Engineering Diploma from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
  • Atef has vast experience the food industry in the Arab region .He started his career more than 40 years ago in Technical Services, at Trivalley Growers Ca. USA and built up his career to Chairman/CEO of Conserves Moderns Chtaura Sal.
  • He is board member of Widriss Holdings, and is the Founding President of SLFI (Syndicate of Food Industries), LAMA (Association of Marketing and Advertising), LAFST (Association of Food Scientists and Technologists) . He is a member of IUoFST & chair of its A&RC (auditing and risk committee) and MENAFoST facilitator .He is an IAFP active member, a Professional Member IFT,and past president of LASFT , past VP of LAND (Association of Nutrition and Development).
  • Atef worked as a consultant with UNIDO, WHO, ESCWA, ILO and he served as a board member of ELCIM and as a MD of AGRIPOLE; he consulted with several EUROMED programs (including APP and ADP) and USAID projects. He and MEFOSA are EBRD accredited consultants.

Being a jury for Packaging Design Competition, locally and internationally, including Sustainable Awards by Packaging Europe. Become a Mentor and Curator facilitated by the Government and also a guest lecturer at several universities in Indonesia.

  • Ahmed AboElSaoud is the Head of Sustainability at Tetra Pak Egypt & East Africa. He is on a mission to develop the post-consumer carton collection and recycling ecosystem, which in turn will help further Tetra Pak's sustainability plan. AboElSaoud is also empowering local initiatives for the importance of achieving the sustainability strategy.
  • AboElSaoud is an engineer by heart. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and has over 15 years of expertise in Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Communications in the FMCG, Oil & Gas, and Telecommunication industries.
  • Prior to joining Tetra Pak, AboElSaoud held different positions in local and multinational companies, such as; Coca-Cola Egypt, ADES Group, and WE.
 

  • Ahmed Madkour is the Vice President of Industry Business at Schneider Electric Northeast Africa & Levant, which covers Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Libya, and Malta.
  • Madkour leads the industry business unit at Schneider Electric Northeast Africa & Levant which is responsible for securing impactful industrial digitalization services and solutions for the industrial sector to achieve demonstrable impact in terms of operational efficiency, workforce empowerment, sustainability, asset optimization and cybersecurity.
  • With over two decades of experience in the field of power and industrial automation, Madkour started his career with Schneider Electric in 2001 and has worked his way up to his current position as the Vice President of Industry Business; a position he has held since 2019.
  • Before assuming his current position, Madkour was the Distribution Sales Director of Northeast Africa.
  • Madkour’s exceptional skills and knowledge have helped the company become a leader in the field of digital transformation in the Northeast Africa and Levant region. Throughout his tenure at Schneider Electric, he has led teams on numerous successful projects that achieved outstanding results.
  • Madkour earned his degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Ain Shams University.
 

  • Amr Attia is a Product Marketing Manager at Forbes Marshall Egypt; he has been working in the Steam Engineering field for the past 9 Years across different industries and has designed many efficient steam systems for many users. Amr has also handled and successfully implemented many energy savings projects across different industries
 

  • Sarah Hanna is Pepsico Egypt's newly appointed supply chain productivity and performance leader  since June 2022. Before joining Pepsico, Sarah was the Middle East and Africa Demand planning director for Procter and Gamble, she was awarded Advanced demand practitioner qualification from the global team. Sarah played a leading role in multiple roles integration from South Africa, Nigeria,  and Ethiopia. Sarah was named by B2G in the Top 100 most influential women in the supply chain  globally and one of three in the MENA region.

  • Zein's experience includes co-founding Teradix eProcurement Solutions, a B2B SaaS and marketplace that is disrupting the eProcurement and fintech industries. In his role as COO, he leverages his analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to help drive the company's growth and success. Prior to Teradix, Zein worked as a Solutions Consultant for Redington Middle East and Africa and spent time at Dell Technologies as a Global Technical Support Engineer.

  • Diaa has a deep understanding of the complex regulations and guidelines that govern food safety and quality. He held various roles in Quality and Food Safety with Marriott, Domino's Pizza, Cilantro, La Poire , Juhayna and Etoile. Diaa is HACCP Certified.
  • He is working on Ensuring and surpassing the safety and satisfaction requirements of all customers, Applying the basics of Quality statics to be a cornerstone in a decision making. As well as Increasing the awareness & use of confectionery science & technology and their effect role in confectionery improvement.
 

  • Moataz Abbas is the Area Projects Manager of IETOS (Integrated Environmental Technology and and Oil Services Co). “IETOS” is the leading Egyptian company covering all sectors of drinking water treatment, sewage, industrial, and seawater & brackish water desalination. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from faculty of Engineering – Helwan University with a Mechanical Power Engineering major and have more than 10 years of experience in Electromechanical field and Water and Wastewater treatment. Executed More than 40 project with different technology. Certified Project management professional (PMP).
  • Sara is a young entrepreneur with 4+ years of experience working in the renewable energy, and power utility market in one of Egypt's fastest-growing solar utility businesses. With a hybrid focus on strategy, business development, and project management, Sara is currently leading KarmSolar's ongoing investment round in her capacity as Strategy & Investment Manager
 

  • Hager specialized in Economics during her studies at the University of Montreal, and in Marketing in McGill University, and has joined the Packaging Technical Center, PACKTEC, in 1997.
  • During her career, Hager worked in the marketing department to develop all strategies of PACKTEC and also to promote the packaging sector. She organized events and seminars in the field of packaging that have reached the neighboring countries of Africa and the Middle East, and has also developed promotional materials (La Revue de l'Emballage, an Electronic Newsletter etc.. )
  • Since 2002, Hager has also worked and developed the Tunisia Star Pack Professional competition and also the Student competition « Tunisian Student Star Pack ».
  • Hager is also working and contributing to the promotion of the Tunisian olive oil Program throughout the world since 2007.
 

  • Mohsen Korany is the Project Manager of Misr Polymers Industries, Lasheen Group, with over 30 years of experience in the printing and packaging field, ensuring that packaging projects are delivered on time, with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
  • Overseeing, managing, and ensuring quality of packaging materials, ensuring imagery and content is accurate and maintained to organizational standards.
 

  • Dr. Madiha Metawie earned a PhD from University of Sunderland in the UK and M.Sc. from the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University. She was promoted to an Associate Professor in Marketing in 2016.
  • She has been teaching since 1995 in the faculty of Commerce as a member of the academic staff, other private universities, and currently in the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics and Political Science, The British University in Egypt.
  • She occupied several positions as Community service officer, acting Head of Business Department and currently the marketing specialism coordinator, and the Director of the M.Sc. Programme. 
 

  • Mohamed is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of experience in environmental management. He currently serves as the head of the central department of environmental inspection and compliance at EEAA. He attended international leadership training programs in different Environmental disciplines, in Germany, USA and India, which provided him with valuable insights into global best practices and equipped him with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and sustainability practices. He is representing Egypt in the Russian expert council on scientific support for the development of carbon control technologies.

  • Abdel Rahman has a commercial & strategic background with over 20 years of experience in the field of management, distribution and access to market. Having a broad range of strategic and operational management skills gained through working in the telecommunications industry since it emerged in the Egyptian market. Abdel Rahman plays a key player in the Egyptian Junior Business Association in his role as Deputy Chairman. He has fathered the association’s initiative “Distribution & Logistics: The Business Arm”.
