Professor Pierre Pienaar

Immediate Past President, World Packaging Organisation (WPO)

Professor Pierre Pienaar is a global authority in packaging science with more than 35 years of experience across the pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries. Founder of PackTech Solutions Pty Ltd, he has advised governments, corporations, and industry bodies worldwide, and serves as National Education Director of the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP).

He lectures on packaging technology at universities internationally, is a Certified Packaging Professional recognized in over 65 countries, and was inducted into the International Packaging Hall of Fame in 2022.
